Devil’s Third

Like all the games present in this selection, this one is not available on Switch. For those who have never heard of it, it is a third-person action game released in 2015. The bloody title combines modern military weapons with swordplay and hand-to-hand combat. The player also evolves in an urban environment where everything is possible. A version of Devil’s Third was also released on PC only in Japan, but is no longer available.

Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush

In a much cuter universe than the first game, Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush is a platform game. The objective is simple: the player must draw lines in order to guide Kirby through the different levels. The title might work with the touchscreen of the Switch. In terms of aesthetics, the universe is entirely represented in modeling clay.

Yoshi’s Woolly World

In the same vein as Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush, Yoshi’s Woolly World is in a woolly style. The design is always adapted to the character who is in a childish universe. In this title, the player plays Yoshi who must explore different levels in order to find objects hidden in the setting. Note that Yoshi’s Woolly World is also available on 3DS and can be played with several people.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

Released in 2013, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is part of the eponymous franchise. This is a remake of Monster Hunter Tri which includes new creatures as well as new items. Like the previous title in this selection, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is available on 3DS and in multiplayer. The game allows you to hunt increasingly powerful monsters. One of the new features was also the underwater fights which did not please all fans.

Star Fox Zero

Only available on Wii U, Star Fox Zero is the reboot of Lylat Wars released on Nintendo 64. It is a game built like a film and strongly inspired by the Star Wars universe. While there are some epic moments and great ideas, the title hasn’t aged very well according to Anagund and Kaname. The gameplay is also interesting with many hidden elements in the levels allowing players to discover new routes.

Xenoblade Chronicles X

The last title presented in this selection is Xenoblade Chronicles X. For those who have never heard of it, it is a science fiction role-playing game. The plot takes place in the distant future where humanity has had to flee Earth following an assault by extraterrestrial forces. In order to protect themselves, Men therefore decide to colonize a new satellite. However, the new star is far from being like the blue planet and is rather hostile.

Anagund and Kaname show you other games in the video above the article.
