The Meteorological Authority announced the description of the climate during the spring, as it is expected that the spring season will begin astronomically over the Arab Republic of Egypt on Monday, March 21, 2022, and will continue for three months, ending on Monday, June 20, 2022.
The authority added, in a statement today, that the spring season is a transitional season that moves us from the coldness and rain of the winter season to the heat and humidity of the summer, and the spring climate is characterized by moderation in temperatures in most cases.
And the authority continued: “What this season witnesses sharp and rapid weather fluctuations, as the Khamasin depressions coming from the Libyan desert and heading to the Western Desert of Egypt are accompanied by active southwesterly winds, which is known as the Khamasin winds, which are exciting for sand and dust and lead to a deterioration of horizontal visibility on the roads and accompany This is intense heat waves, then a thermal reversal occurs and a noticeable decrease in temperatures leads to rain of varying intensity in areas of the north of the country.
The authority confirmed that winds are sometimes active due to the Red Sea depression (Sudan seasonal) and it affects the south of the country and the Red Sea and Sinai mountain ranges, and this leads to rain that may reach torrential levels in mountainous areas.
The authority stressed that this statement is a precautionary measure to describe the landmarks of the spring season in order to take early preparations and the necessary precautions.
Weather warnings for expected instability during this season will be issued well in advance of their occurrence.
