After a restyling last year, the Citroën C3 Aircross should offer a second generation, turned towards electric, which will put the small SUV in the big leagues.
French women, there will be a slew of new ones in 2023. And in 2024? At Citroënfollowing the fourth generation of the C3 city car eagerly awaited, it will be the turn du SUV C3 Aircross to afford a second youth with a larger vehicle and, inevitably, turned towards the electric.
Bigger, more assertive
After reaching 200,000 sales within two years of its release in 2017 and following succeeding the C3 Picasso, Citroën’s urban SUV opened wide the door to a segment which gradually replaced that of the minivan in the French.
For its second generation, le C3 Aircrosspresented only at the end of 2023 – but already seen in a camouflaged version on the road in India – should erase some curves for a slightly squarer, more solid, more assertive shape : a real SUV what. Also more elongated, with a profile that might reach 4.30 meters, once morest 4.16 m for the first generation.
The double chevron brand will be inspired by the common design of the body lines with a hook on the bonnet side and a recognizable symbol on the quarter panel. Some will also see similarities with l’Opel Crossland.
Two thermal versions, two electric versions
Citroën would have decided to give space at the level of the wheel arches, which enlarges and strengthens the ex-small SUV. It would finally adopt the visual identity already seen on the concept car of the 100% electric SUV Citroën Oli. Speaking of electric, the C3 Aircross 2024 would also be equipped with a common platform for at C4 and at Peugeot 2008 that would allow him to switch to batteries.
We should therefore be able to expect four versions. Gas side, the SUV will be offered in 110 horsepower and 136 horsepower versions. In electric, it can approach the 156 horsepower of the Peugeot e-208 GT but also be more accessible with a power of 100 horsepower. The C3 Aircross is expected in dealerships in the spring of 2024, around 23,000 euros.
