Nissan Fairlady Z NISMO added at the timing of some improvements to Fairlady Z in 2023

The V37 Skyline and Fairlady Z are both NISMO models, and are models with enhanced sportiness, but since the characters the cars originally aimed for are different, the “sharpness” of the NISMO models is also different.

Fairlady Z NISMO has been tuned to clearly improve handling performance. Compared to the standard Z, both the body and legs have increased rigidity. The response to steering is sharper, but the rear end is more tenacious and overall stability is high, giving a greater sense of security when cornering at high speeds.

You can clearly see that the Skyline NISMO has been tuned to more clearly emphasize the Skyline’s original goal of being a 4-door saloon that can drive in a sporty manner.

Nissan Skyline NISMO added in 2023. Sales will be limited to 1000 units.

Just because it’s a NISMO model, doesn’t mean the ride is stiff, and rear seat passengers won’t feel uncomfortable. The rear wheels are 265/35R19, which are 20mm thicker, and this tire choice is also exquisite, achieving a high level of balance between ride comfort and stability.

The engine for both cars is a V6, 3L twin-turbo VR30DDTT, but the Skyline has a slightly higher maximum torque figure. However, when you actually ride it, the Z feels more powerful. The Skyline NISMO is tuned to be smooth and fast, which also matches the 4-door saloon.

●Fairlady Z NISMO

A big appeal of the NISMO model is its extremely rigid handling feel, which is completely different from the normal Z. The normal model was fun with its crisp and light turning ability, but the overall stability was a little low. However, NISMO has high rear stability and can drive around high-speed corners with confidence. There are no particular “not-so-good” points!

●Skyline NISMO

The “good thing” regarding the Skyline NISMO is that it offers a well-balanced combination of sporty maneuverability and ride comfort. Only the rear tires are made thicker to 265/35R19, while the front tires remain at 245/40R19 for a good balance.

As for the “not-so-good” part, I would say that the engine might have been tuned to make it feel a little more powerful.
