«There is not a single Rio Negro benefited by Milei’s measures»

National senator Martín Doñate pointed out that “There is not a single worker, company, or Rio Negro business favored by Milei’s measures”. He did so during a tour of the provincial capital and General Conesa where he met with representatives from different sectors.

The Rio Negro parliamentarian warned regarding the “serious consequences” that the application of the DNU and the Omnibus Law would have promoted by the government of President Javier Milei.

In the framework of meetings he held with sectors of commerce, industry, tourism, culture, production, the pharmaceutical industry and construction, from Conesa and Viedma, Doñate maintained that “It is not a whimsical package of decisions, it is a systematic plan to dismantle the State at an unprecedented speed” and that seeks to “deliver national resources to foreign capital, subjecting our country to poverty and cornering the people with demobilization and cultural colonization.”

This DNU puts in check more than 200 years of historical construction, but essentially comes to destroy the social, political, economic and cultural machinery of all.

Doñate stressed that “what is at stake is the defense of the Homeland. Therefore, today more than ever, it is key that we are on the streets talking to neighbors; transforming the concern that various sectors across the country have into proposals and collective strength,” while ensuring that “there is not a single Rio Negro worker benefited by Milei’s measures.”

The national senator for Río Negro indicated that as he tours the province he is “taking claims in order to transfer them to an upcoming meeting organized with deputies and senators of Patagonia to establish a unanimous position regarding the measures that the national government seeks to impose.


Doñate’s efforts in Viedma


Doñate stressed that “from here, from Viedma, From this very symbolic place in Patagonia, we begin to build resistance to this government that, in the name of a supposed freedom, seeks to enslave us by selling to a handful of people and concentrated groups of power, our resources, companies, human capital and talent required throughout the world.

During the tour met with the multi-cultural space of theater, literature and alternative media at the El Tubo theater.

He also had a meeting with student tourism sectors, small merchants and the pharmaceutical sector, with whom he will carry out a joint agenda to articulate with different provincial legislative representatives.


Tour of Donate in Conesa


The senator toured the works for the construction of a pedestrian path in Conesa that will connect the municipal camping site with the banks of the Negro River, visited the municipal slaughterhouse, which “symbolizes an enhancement with genuine labor” and was carried out with funds from the Municipalities of Pie program during the previous government.

On the other hand, together with representatives from Unter and UOCRA, he held a work day to develop and promote specific projects in the sector from the National Congress.

During the tour Doñate met with the mayor of Conesa, Héctor Leineker; and with the vice governor, Pedro Pesatti.
