TOURISM is one of the powerful means to advance the local economy and culture. This is the case with Jajar Village, Gandusari District, Trenggalek Regency. With some of its topography in the mountainous region, this village has a tempting tourism potential to be developed.
This step is a series of activities for the Empowerment of Fostered Villages (PDB) in 2024 towards Agro-eco Cultural Tourism Jajar Gumregah.
Imam Bashori, who is familiarly called Abas, as the head of Pokdarwis Kumbokarno Mukti, stated that the opening of this rock climbing tourism is a realistic step for a beautiful dream that has been nurtured for years. “We have been waiting for this dream to come true. We express our deepest gratitude to the PDB team and all its supporting elements,” said Abas.
“The planning to build the tourist village has been around since 2015, and began with the construction of halls in 2019. Currently, five routes have been opened. In the future, there could be hundreds of routes, made as close and easy as possible to access from residential areas,” he added.
“So the grade can be different, like at the end there is a cliff overhang, and the other end is under. While the middle part of this path is wide. The variation of this cliff path is a challenge for the exploration team. “It has great potential,” added Rosyid.
“Hopefully the opening of this cliff will be a good start for the realization of the dream of a Tourism Village, so that the community’s economy will be more advanced and evenly distributed in accordance with the spirit of a vibrant and enthusiastic village,” explained the Head of Jajar Gumregah Village, Imam Mukaryanto Edy.
