They didn’t let me on the plane twice
Alexandra: One of our trips to Dubai turned out to be very interesting. We flew with my family to rest, we already went to the registration, gave our passports. They checked something for a long, long time, then they say: “You are not flying, there are no seats on the plane.” We say: “How, why?” (Laughs.) Well, that is, the tickets have already been bought, paid, of course, as usual, but they tell us, they say, no, there are no seats on the plane.
What to do next?
“We will now give you new tickets for the flight, which is a little later. That’s it, this is our problem, we will give you business class tickets to everyone, ”says the airline.
Fine. Immediately we are issued boarding tickets for the next flight. We didn’t have to go to check-in anymore. We are waiting for the second flight, we are walking somewhere for some time, we are approaching to get on the plane already, we are giving boarding passes – when they are already tearing off and you are getting on the plane … We all came up with passports, with boarding cards, already further “pipe” (sleeve. – Note ed.) and the plane – everything, nothing more. We give it back… And they tell us once more: “There are no seats on the plane.” (Laughs.)
It turns out that we have already gone through all the procedures, we were taken back by some roundregarding ways, because, in theory, it is almost impossible to get out of there: everyone has already passed the border. Here, they take us out of there and say: “Well, today there is no more plane, you will fly tomorrow.” They rented a hotel for us, we spent the night, we were very surprised by this outcome, here. But the next day – yes, we flew away, also in business, everything is fine, but the third time (laughs).
Mark Kondratyuk (skater, young man Sasha, another participant in the show): They found a new target!
Nastya Skoptsova (host): New target?
Mark: Some other person! (Laugh.)
Nastya: It’s like in clubs, you know, you fit:
— Excuse me, did you book today?
– It won’t work today, sorry.
Mark: We are athletes, we don’t know, we don’t go to clubs.
Nastya: And I know! I was told that once. It hurts so much, it’s so embarrassing.
Prize and unusual toy
Alexandra: From childhood, my dad gave me money for victories and prizes, so I saved up for what I wanted. When I was very young, we were in Egypt, and there are many shops with toy camels. I asked for one who sings. Dad said we already have one. To which I replied: “He doesn’t sing with me anymore.”
Alone in the amusement park
Alexandra: In my opinion, it was the second time when we rested in America. We were in Orlando because there are a lot of amusement parks there. We arrived at one that we had not been to before. It is small and probably old. As a result, it began to rain, and the only five people who remained were our family. All the workers were in shock – they did not close the park, and we did not leave.
Tutberidze and “let’s clean up”
Alexandra: Eteri Georgievna always had a free program in the evening, and a short one in the morning. Sometimes you might come up and say: “Maybe we can clean up?” This means that we are simply jumping on a mission. If we managed to persuade, then we had a whole day of jumps, and at the end – six minutes and a short one. On one such day, we all received the third or second level of rotations in the printout from Eteri Georgievna. The next day we were told: if everyone does not have the fourth level, then we will roll not a short one, but an arbitrary one.
Three rentals of one program
Alexandra: I was 13 years old, I was riding Big Spender. I had a cascade in the second half, following two rotations and a track. I rolled it for the first time, it seems good. Then there was only Daniil Markovich on the ice: he said that the track was not at full strength, it was necessary to roll. I’m 13, I’ll roll it once more – I’ll roll it. I did the maximum on the track, and the cascade turned out a little worse. As a result, I drove for the third time so that both the track and the cascade were good.
