Gerardo Blyde, head of the negotiation delegation of the Unitary Platform, said this Friday that there is a high probability that this process will be reactivated in Mexico.
“I cannot speak because I signed a confidentiality agreement with the international facilitator (Norway). But I can tell you that there is a high probability that the mechanism in Mexico will be reactivated.” This was stated by Blyde during a meeting with leaders of the Broad Front at the Andrés Bello Catholic University.

“Is it possible to return to Mexico? If possible. We have made an enormous effort to reactivate it. When? Hopefully as soon as possible. How?, according to what the memorandum of understanding establishes, “added the leader.
He also indicated that the opposition delegation is seeking a “democratic coexistence agreement.”
“The fundamental negotiation that we must produce is a pact of democratic coexistence in which we all recognize ourselves”, said.
And he added: “This delegation has made an enormous effort to build a process that would have the best chances of succeeding due to its shielding in terms of methodology and international support.”
He stated that although the main objective is to achieve a comprehensive agreement, partial agreements may occur during the negotiation.
“Partial agreements can help build trust between the parties,” he said.
