Executives and parliamentarians who support Stefanos Kasselakis and are members of the CET, including Theodora Tzakri, went to Koumoundourou at noon on Friday (8.11.24) to express their protest about the procedures being followed, while at the headquarters of the party, the director of the Office of Stefanos Kasselakis, Manolis Kapnisakis, also attended.
Theodora Tzakri stated that they came as members of the CET to be officially informed about the total number of elected congressmen as well as the number of elected congressmen per OM “and they refused to inform us”. “We are six days after the elections and three hours before the start of the accreditations and hundreds of delegates of the largest Prefectural Organizations of the country, such as the First of Athens, half of East Attica, West Athens have not yet received any official announcement that they are delegates. “Hundreds of elected officials have arrived in Athens from all over the country and are still arriving and we still do not know if they will be allowed to enter the conference despite the fact that they wish to contact Koumoundourou,” he said.
He argued that “all these strategies that we are experiencing from Saturday until today are happening for one and only reason: because the party bureaucracy has established that the vast majority of delegates are in favor of Stefanos Kasselakis participating in the elections and against his exclusion”. She said that an indisputable element for this is the USB stick which, as she announced, in a few hours she will submit to the congress office and which “includes 1,934 signatures of congressmen who are in favor of the participation of Stefanos Kasselaxis in the elections and he the number will exceed 2,000 by the time the work officially begins.” Ms. Tzakri said that “the official number of delegates according to the data we have collected from all the OM. of the country are 3,587 delegates, while the party bureaucracy states that it does not know”. And he added that “any other number of delegates announced is the result of the six-day debate. We will be at the conference, democracy will win.”
For his part, Thanos Moraitis said: “Until today, in the face of these anti-democratic methods, we were talking about those who organized and implemented this diversion and the black page on the left. In the next few hours we will talk, rest assured, about him and about those who inspired this diversion and are tearing the left apart.”
Olympia Teligioridou stated that “the Left will either be democratic or it will not be the Left” and appealed “for the last time not to exclude a candidate for president and congressmen. On Monday we must all be together.”
“I also came to Koumoundourou as a member of KOES to be informed and I was excluded in a happy way, Mrs. Symeonidou citing workload. I cannot conceive of a Left that excludes members of the CET and 1,934 signatures of congressmen that talk about not excluding candidates and congressmen”, noted Maria Kaludioti.

**Interview with Theodora Tzakri: Member of the CET and Supporter of Stefanos Kasselakis**
**Interviewer:** Thank you for joining us, Theodora. Can you explain the current situation that has led you and your colleagues to protest at Koumoundourou?
**Theodora Tzakri:** Thank you for having me. We are here as members of the Central Executive Team (CET) to voice our concerns regarding the transparency of the electoral process within the party. Despite being six days post-election, we have yet to receive official information on the total number of elected congressmen and their distribution among different organizational units. This lack of communication is troubling, especially as we prepare for a crucial conference.
**Interviewer:** What specific issues have been raised by your colleagues regarding the accreditation of delegates?
**Theodora Tzakri:** Many delegates from significant Prefectural Organizations—like those from the First of Athens and other regions—have traveled to Athens without knowing if they are officially recognized as delegates for this conference. This uncertainty has created a chaotic situation, as hundreds of elected officials wish to participate and reach out to Koumoundourou but are unsure of their status.
**Interviewer:** You mentioned that the current bureaucratic strategies seem to favor a distinct agenda. Could you elaborate on that?
**Theodora Tzakri:** Certainly. We believe that the ongoing bureaucratic tactics are intentionally designed to stall the participation of delegates who overwhelmingly support Stefanos Kasselakis. It appears that the party leadership is aware of this majority support and is attempting to undermine it by delaying updates and creating confusion. It’s crucial for the democratic integrity of our party that all voices are heard and represented.
**Interviewer:** What do you hope will come from your protest today?
**Theodora Tzakri:** Our hope is for accountability and transparency. We want the leadership to recognize the urgency of the situation and provide us with the information we have been requesting. This is not just about us; it’s about the democratic process within our party and ensuring that all members have a say in the direction we take moving forward.
**Interviewer:** Thank you, Theodora, for your insights. We appreciate your time and commitment to the democratic processes in your party.
**Theodora Tzakri:** Thank you for the opportunity to share our concerns.
