Whenever the image of a man’s house on the top is seen, it is new to the Malayalees. All the dialogues in the film are recognized by the audience even today. Director Rajasenan shares his memories of the Evergreen movie Maleparampil Aanveedena.
Rajasenan said that actor Jagathy Sreekumar had an ear infection while shooting the scene of jumping into the pool in the film. He said that Jagathy said that if the camera angle is changed, it will not be beautiful and Jagathy herself decided to jump into the water. Rajasena was speaking in an interview with Silly Monks Mollywood.
There is a scene where Ambili Chetan jumps into a pond in the movie Meleparampil Aan Veedu. Then he had an ear infection. If he jumped in the water, the water would get into his ears and make him dry. I was saddened to hear that. However, I reluctantly told Ananda Kuttan that he would change the angle of the camera and shoot.
Kuttetan (Vijaya Raghavan) said ‘oh that scene has gone’ as soon as he heard regarding changing the camera angle. However, as the artist might not afford it, he decided to change it. ‘Sena will not get it if it is done from another angle. I’ll do one thing, jump in the pool. But it should be done in one shot. Ambilichettan (Jagati Sreekumar) said that when I jump, it is water, it may shake but you should try to finish in one shot. Then Anandakutan Chetan said that it will be okay. Because he is not the one who shoots the spot fight. Bully is smart. I had that belief too.
The camera was brought back to its original location. Everyone is watching. It should be okay in one take. Ambilichettan took a single jump into the pool. And it was captured perfectly on camera. Made it okay in one take,’ said Rajasena.
