It is with pride that the National Movement of Quebecers (MNQ) and its member companies present the 2024 theme of the Quebec National Day. This year, we invite Quebecers to get together under the stars on June 23 and 24! For its 190th edition, let’s rejoice in the most beautiful constellation there is, that formed by all Quebecers, and let’s celebrate together the brilliance of our nation!
Present since our very first National Holiday, the stars have witnessed the great Quebec festivities. They saw us gathering across the territory, they listened to us sing our tunes, shout our aspirations and our inspirations. The movement of the stars is part of the ancestral knowledge of the first peoples, even before their light directed people of all origins towards the lands that all can today call home. Pleasant, they welcomed the shooting stars who had left us and allowed them to shine among them in the firmament. Inspiring, they are a reflection of who we are.
“National Day invites us this year to get together under the stars. It’s an inspiring theme that evokes past memories while calling for a future full of possibilities. This starry sky which makes young and old alike dream is the same sky under which we will gather to take part in the celebrations of the National Day of Quebec,” declared Frédéric Lapointe, president of the MNQ.
It is in partnership with the Government of Quebec that National Day celebrations can be organized in the four corners of Quebec. We thank him for his renewed confidence over the past 40 years, in making the Festival a precious moment for all Quebecers.
