The workers of Italian theaters and the cast of the sector are preparing for the renewals of their national collective labor agreements. The joint note arrived following the first meeting between Federvivo-Agis, which represents the employers’ side, and the trade unions, Slc Cgil, Fistel Cisl and Uilcom Uil seems to be a good omen for the 30 thousand workers involved.
The meeting was in fact characterized by “a constructive climate, during which the methodological issues regarding the path that will lead to the renewal of the contract were addressed”, we read.
Theaters and unions started by immediately examining the merits of the issues, “a tangible sign of a common commitment towards a sustainable and satisfactory solution for workers in the sector, awaiting renewal”, explains the joint note.
The objective of this renewal is “to build a supply chain contract capable of including other sectors of the large entertainment sector, aimed at guaranteeing more integrated and cohesive management”, say the parties. This political objective reflects the table’s commitment to promoting a long-term vision for the sector, based on solidarity and cooperation between all actors involved.
On both sides, the importance of involving government authorities in assessing the need for adequate resources to guarantee more equitable conditions for workers in the sector was underlined, taking into account the significant number of employees, around 30. thousand, and the wide spectrum of companies involved.
