On Saturday it was reported the death at the age of 84 of the theater director and National Award for Representation and Audiovisual Arts in 2005, Fernando González Mardones.
This is how the Club Theater Academy, stating “with great sorrow We inform the departure of our director and teacher Fernando González Mardones”.
Through its social networks, the University of Chile said goodbye to whoever was a graduate and professor of the house of studies and also director of the Chilean National Theater.
For its part, the GAM Center reported that “the teacher and National Award for Representation Arts 2005 has departed. His mark is indelible.”
Alfredo Castro, one of the most prominent actors in the country, used his social networks to say goodbye to who he described as “my teacher”: “My Master Fernando González passed away, an ethic and a beautiful rigor for this trade leaves with him. Rest in peace! We will do the best we can in his name!”
Another actor, Felipe Ríos published the following: “Goodbye beloved teacher… You will always be in my memory, life and heart. I enjoyed you and I enjoyed the hours of the day as much as I could… The theater, the opera, going out, the beach, the restaurants. The gonsour your family, mine, the loves, the sorrows. The good and bad works. The laughs, the drunkenness. The advice and the work. They were some of the many things we enjoyed together Now let’s fly free. Take care of me from above. I love you forever and always.”
The wake will take place at the Academia Club Teatro, starting at 8:00 p.m., in the Pedro Orthous Room, Providencia. They asked to attend with white flowers to “send him off as he deserves.”
