The Lungauers have improved significantly in the last few weeks and now want to put a top team in the 2nd Class South in their place.
At the start of the season, Zederhaus still had problems and lost, among other things, the Lungau derbies once morest Muhr and Mauterndorf. Now coach Daniel Zanner’s team in the 2nd Class South seems to be getting better and better. Nevertheless, three unbeaten games were followed by a bitter 3-1 defeat in Dienten last Friday. “Very annoying. While we missed a lot of chances, the opponent made a lot out of a few opportunities,” explains player-coach Zanner, who was happy with the performance. “It’s going in the right direction. With a little more luck we would have a few more points in our account. Hopefully that will happen now.”
The Lungau competitors Muhr and Mauterndorf are behind Zederhaus, but the former regional league team cannot be satisfied with tenth place. The next strong opponent awaits on Friday: third-placed SG Niedernsill/Uttendorf. “We are strong at home and are usually difficult to beat. I definitely have confidence in my team. We just need the luck we need in crucial situations,” emphasizes Zanner, who is eyeing his fourth win of the season.
