TASS, 24 September. Football players of the youth national team of Russia (under 21) beat the team of Kazakhstan with a score of 2:1 in a friendly match. The meeting was held on Saturday in Minsk.
As part of the Russian team, both goals were scored by Konstantin Tyukavin (34th minute, 41st from the penalty spot), who scored in the second match in a row. Kazakhstanis scored a goal for Nurgani Buribaev (86).
The Russian youth team held the second international match since November 16, 2021. Then the Russians beat the Spaniards with a score of 1:0 in the qualifying match of the European Championship in 2023. The team scored 15 points in six games and finished second in the group. On March 26, the youth team lost to the national team with a score of 0:1 in a training match as part of the training camp. On September 21, Russian football players defeated the Belarusian national team with a score of 6: 1, Tyukavin opened the scoring in the match.
On February 28, the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and the International Football Federation (FIFA) due to the situation in Ukraine suspended Russian clubs and teams from participating in international competitions under the auspices of organizations until further notice.
