The unstolen bike is going viral on social media. The manufacturing company claims that it is 99 percent theft-proof. In the last few days, a video of the bike that has been trying to prove itself as the safest bike in the world for years has gone viral on social media: the Yerka. The aim of the brand is to make their bikes simply impossible to steal. The company boasts that it has created “the only bicycle with a built-in anti-theft lock”. The essence of the idea would be that the thief would not even think of stealing the bike. The most surprising and effective element of their anti-theft strategy is the patented lock technology, which simply turns the lower tube of the bicycle frame into a lock. If someone tries to steal it, they will think twice, because practically the whole frame has to be taken apart in order to open the lock. The clamp is 17.7 centimeters wide. If they decided to destroy the lock, the thief would not even be able to ride the bike, because the pedals are blocked by a lock when locked. And if you wanted to steal the wheels, it wouldn’t be that easy either, as they have a special adapter that is very difficult to remove by force. Finally, if you were to take the bike to pieces and want to repair it and sell it or use it, you would have to buy spare parts, and these can only be obtained from Yerka, and the company will only sell them if you show the proof of purchase of the bike. Regarding the latest V4 model, the brand claims that it is 99 percent theft-proof. For this version, Yerka collaborated with the German manufacturer of safety devices Abus to put the best locking mechanism on the bike. How much does it cost? For about 600 dollars, which is roughly HUF 212,000. Our other interesting articles:
