Good that the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro will arrive as early as November 2022 in China, we will probably have to wait until next year before we can discover the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, the most high-end model in the series. Last year, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra had arrived on March 29 in Chinaand it might be the same this year, according to information from leaker @That_Kartikey.

According to him, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be well launched at the end of the first quarter of 2023, as was the case with the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra will arrive in France in 2023

As announced by the CEO of Xiaomi on social networksthe Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be well launched in Francecontrary to Xiaomi 12S Ultra who has not left China. A release at the end of the first quarter of 2023 might mean that Xiaomi would be slightly behind its main competitors.

We are thinking in particular of Samsung, which will launch its Galaxy S23 from the first weeks of 2023, or to OnePlus and its OnePlus 11 Pro. Nevertheless, the wait might be worth it, since we now know a little more regarding the technical characteristics of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra.

According to the same leaker, Xiaomi would plan to keep the same main sensor of 1 inch 50 MP IMX989 than the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. However, the Chinese manufacturer would count improve ultra-wide-angle and periscope sensors. As a reminder, Xiaomi has been using two 48 MP IMX586 sensors in its high-end smartphones for two years now. It is these that should be modified for more efficient sensors.
