A premium technical sheet
If the design does not change fundamentally compared to the previous generation, the Xiaomi 12 however, opts for a much more compact format than its predecessor thanks to a width of 69.9 mm (compared to 74.6 mm on the Mi 11) and a 6.28-inch AMOLED screen displaying a Full HD + definition of 2,400 x 1 080 pixels (against 6.8 inches on the Mi 11). With this, the brand wants to improve the handling of its premium smartphone, especially since the weight is also reduced by 16 grams compared to the old model. In addition, the panel offers a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
For the rest of its technical sheet, Xiaomi does not compromise and integrates the most powerful SoC from Qualcomm currently, the aptly named Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, accompanied by 8 GB of RAM. This phone is therefore very powerful, with the possibility of running all the 3D games you want and in the maximum graphics conditions, as well as bringing compatibility with the 5G network. It runs Android 12 and even offers Harman Kardon stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos compatibility.
A photo part a little behind the Pro
Yes the Pro model puts itself more forward compared to the classic 12 with a 50 megapixel main sensor and a 50 megapixel x2 telephoto lens both very good, as well as a 50 megapixel ultra wide-angle, the Xiaomi 12 offers a slightly more composition classic with a main sensor of 50 megapixels, an ultra wide-angle of 13 megapixels and a telemacro of 5 megapixels. The quality is still there thanks to the new tool called CyberFocus, which makes it possible to manage the automatic focus of the camera even better, in particular to always identify the face and the body of the subject. As for the camera dedicated to selfies, it is 32 megapixels.
The Xiaomi 12 finally offers a full day of battery life with its 4,500 mAh battery, but no more. Regarding recharging, there is a 67 W power supply in the box, which allows you to recover half of the battery in less than 30 minutes. Wireless charging is obviously part of it, with a power of up to 50 W, or 10 W in reverse mode.
