In less than a month, this year’s Xbox Game Showcase will take place. It’s one of the most anticipated shows by the community and it’s where Microsoft should unveil a lot of its exclusive upcoming projects. While the acquisition of Activision Blizzard is being finalized, the various teams of Redmond must begin to present their projects.
So it looks like this year’s conference won’t just focus on what’s new for the next twelve months, as was the case last year.
Microsoft wants to go all out for this year’s conference
Of course, the focus will be on upcoming games in a short period of time, most likely within the next twelve months. Games like Forza Motorsport, Starfield or Hellblade II will be at the heart of this conference which promises to be spectacular. However, according to Jez Corden, Microsoft will not only show off the most immediate games, but will also make room for upcoming games later in the year. This opens the door to titles like Fable, Perfect Dark, new projects from Bethesda Studios, and more.
He made the statement during his podcast, Xbox Two, where he pointed out that what he’s heard is that some of the games that will be shown are “likely to exceed twelve months”. What game are you most looking forward to seeing a new trailer for? We are torn between Fable and Indiana Jones.
