The Writers’ Association has issued an apology for an incident that occurred during a discussion at the National Book Week 2023. The event, titled “45 years, Sea Write has come a long way.”, was a joint effort between the Writers Association of Thailand and the Language and Book Association of Thailand. During the discussion, the second vice-president of the Writers’ Association, Mr. Jitti Noosuk, made an inappropriate comment towards the writer, Miss Palita. The event was brought to the attention of the Writers’ Association, who immediately apologized to Miss Palita and called for an emergency meeting to address the situation. Mr. Jitti ultimately resigned from his position and is coordinating with Miss Palita to apologize.
