The writer who gave an interview to an Israeli television channel was sentenced to death in Iran

Iran: Mehdi Bahman, a writer and cartoonist, has been sentenced to death by the revolutionary court in Iran where civil rights protests continue. He was sentenced on the basis of an interview he gave to an Israeli television channel in April.

According to news channel Iran International, an ‘anti-regime’ interview was given to an Israeli news channel on October 12, 2022. After this, the security personnel arrested him from his house in Tehran. In the interview, he called for peace between Israel and Iran.
