It’s been four months! Four months since the sailboat crash Royal Sea Pearls On the beach of the Baie des Milliardaires, a small bay below Villa Eilenroc on Cap d’Antibes, the tide is slowly fading.

The boat (6 meters long) formed a strange contrast in this little piece of paradise, not to mention the tourists swimming around it in a relaxed manner…

I remember that on April 15, the owner of the boat, who was living on his boat, found himself stranded on the shore because of a strong wind and encountered difficulties at sea.

YDGS Company eventually refloated the sailboat using a tugboat around 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

Holidaymakers coming to the cool waters of the creek had to turn around, and a safety perimeter was set up during the intervention.

A large amount of debris and personal belongings ended up in the water before being salvaged.

This was the result of a long series of negotiations over four months to find out who would be responsible for dismantling the ship.

The sailboat was abandoned because the owner was unable to repay his debts.

Therefore, it is necessary to wait for the State to initiate property confiscation proceedings so that the municipality can intervene…

Last June, with summer approaching, the town hall was apparently anxious to clear the slabs, then announced the wreckage would be removed. “Within two weeks”:

“Given the danger posed by this wreck, the municipality has obtained the agreement of the state services to evacuate the vessel before the summer heat season with a change of owner. The municipality will remove the vessel and will be responsible for €5,000 in compensation for the evacuation (and subsequent storage and removal costs). The municipality will oppose the owner to obtain reimbursement of these various costs.she said.

But the days passed, July and August arrived, but the ship…didn’t move!

According to our information, this is the time it takes to find a place to store the ship while waiting for authorization to remove it.

Logically, it should be converted to air transport at the Vauban shipyard.
