The Chinese company ZTE has introduced the Axon 20 5G to the general public for the first time in the world with an in-display camera.
Various companies are working on this technology but ZTE has left everyone behind in terms of such a commercial phone.
That is, now the need for a nine or hole punch for the selfie camera has been eliminated and the phone has been made truly bezel-less.
The company says it has combined 5 technologies for the camera hidden inside the display while using a special material to improve light input into the lens.
There is also a dual control chip and driver circuit that works with the phone’s display and colors to ensure that the camera and display don’t interfere with each other’s functions.
A new shooting algorithm has been built into the phone for the under-display camera that helps improve image quality by adapting to lighting.
The in-display camera is 32 megapixels and according to the company, the lens has been made part of the screen through the pixel arrangement.
The Axon 20 features a 6.9-inch FHD Plus OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, while the fingerprint scanner is also provided inside the screen.
The Snapdragon 765G processor is paired with 6 to 8 GB of RAM and 128 to 256 GB of storage.
The phone has a 4220 mAh battery with 30W fast charging support, while the Android 10 operating system is combined with the company’s own My Favorite 10.5 user interface.
There is a quad camera setup on the back of the device with a 64-megapixel main camera along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor.
In addition, there are 2, two-megapixel cameras for depth data and macro shots.
The phone will be available in China from September 10 in Black, White, Purple and Orange colors.
The model with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage costs 2198 Chinese Yuan (over 53 thousand Pakistani rupees), while the version with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage costs 2498 Yuan (over 60 thousand Pakistani rupees), while the 8 GB RAM and The phone with 256 GB storage will be available for 2798 Yuan (over 67 thousand Pakistani Rupees).
Availability in other countries has not been announced yet, but it is expected to be available internationally in the next few months.
