Washington: US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that countries of the world want US diplomatic interventions in geo-political disputes and conflicts around the world.
He was speaking at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland
He also said the U.S. needs to rethink its geo-political involvement in solving global challenges like the Israel-Hamas war.
Blinken also claimed that many governments see the US as the key to solutions.
“I am hearing from all over the country. They want the US. They want our presence. They want us in negotiations. They want us to lead,’ he said.
Blinken told the forum that if the U.S. fails to solve a major problem, either another nation will deal with it in a way that is detrimental to the U.S., or no one will intervene.
Blinken claimed that the US intervention in Gaza had eased the dangers to civilians and allowed more humanitarian aid to reach Gaza.
