The working album, the latest book by photographer and poet of images Bernard Plossu, unfolds like a film before our eyes. By the variety of themes, places and periods of a life, it is “the album of all albums”: “A multitude of Hellos”, titles the caption of a series of contact sheets – and it is the title that this suite of journeys, sequences, “Presences, absences, silences” could take, as another caption suggests to a cycle of photos taken in 50 mm, Bernard Plossu’s preferred format for decades, in the infinite variation of silver black and white.
