Next week there will be no Aerolíneas Argentinas flights, confirmed the aeronautical unions following the salary meeting failed. The measure that will be carried out on Wednesday also affects the Intercargo company, confirmed the unions APA, APLA and UPSA.
The union entities indicated that they attended a meeting yesterday with Aerolíneas Argentinas and Intercargo for salary negotiations and that they received a proposal for salary recomposition of 12% for March salaries (to be paid the first days of April).
“The guideline offered only deepens the loss of purchasing power registered in the current parity period, leading to a unsustainable salary gap of 70% regarding the registered inflation,” the unions expressed.
The unions, in addition to rejecting the offer, confirmed that “for reasons beyond our control, we are forced to declare TOTAL STOP OF ACTIVITIES for 24 hours starting at midnight next Wednesday, February 28.â€
“In this way, we give sufficient advance notice so that both companies can take the necessary precautions to not affect the users, holding their authorities responsible for any inconveniences that may arise,” they expressed.
They also announced that the Aeronautical Unions APA, APLA and UPSA will hold a press conference on Tuesday the 27th at 4:30 p.m. reporting the details of the measure.
