The President of the Delegation, Serge Babary, inaugurated this cycle of meetings with French entrepreneurs open to all senators. Recalling that “Dialogue with business leaders is part of the DNA of the delegation”, he explained that “our new meetings “La parole aux entrepreneurs” will make it possible to associate the greatest number of senators with our work, to better immerse ourselves in the challenges of entrepreneurial life in the heart of the territories, and to prepare the next major legislative meetings in matter”.
Thierry Marx reminded the senators of his career in the world of cooking and outside it, but above all its commitment to the inclusion of young people and people excluded from employment. His intervention was part of the continuity of the work of the delegation to Companies which had visited, in February 2020, his school Cuisine Mode D’Emploi(s). This visit had already inspired certain proposals of the report adopted the same year “Urgent skills for jobs and companies”.
At the conclusion of the discussions, President Serge Babary hailed the chef’s career and commitment: “we measure your qualities as a chef, in the kitchen and in the company, but also your very big heart, which is reflected in your action with people who are far from employment and especially young people”. Thierry Marx, for his part, welcomed the initiative taken by the Senate to organize such times of discussion, adding that “The Senate is perhaps still the only one today able to overcome ideologies, repair fractures, and move things forward in a concrete way”.
The next meeting “The floor for entrepreneurs” will be held on Wednesday, April 12 at the Senate.
