**Host:** LeVar, your career spans decades and boasts iconic roles in television, film, and moast notably, as the host of the groundbreaking children’s program, *Reading Rainbow*. For those unfamiliar with your work, coudl you tell us a little bit about your journey?
**LeVar Burton:** Well, it all started with acting. I was fortunate to land some early roles in television, eventually leading to the chance of a lifetime – playing Geordi La Forge on *Star Trek: The Next Generation*.Being part of that groundbreaking franchise opened many doors. but alongside acting, I always had a passion for literacy and education.
