Police of Hoang Mai district (Hanoi) are handling to clarify the case of a woman using gasoline to set herself on fire on the road by the Set River (Thinh Liet ward, Hoang Mai district).

According to the police report, the incident happened at 13:00 on the same day at the bank of the Set River (near Nam Do apartment building, Thinh Liet ward).

After receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police Team, Hoang Mai District Police sent forces and vehicles to the scene to organize fire fighting, but the victim died.
Some witnesses said, at that time, the woman poured gasoline on herself and then set herself on fire. Because the fire broke out so quickly, people did not have time to rush in to help.
“The initial cause was determined to be a woman’s suicide. We are establishing a file and clarifying the case,” the leader of the General Investigation Team, Hoang Mai District Police told PV. Dan Tri.
