The woman lodged a false harassment complaint at the police station after her husband’s sister had sex with her husband. Her husband’s sister was allegedly gang-raped by her husband and three others. Further investigation revealed that the young man was the woman’s boyfriend and had lodged a false complaint after having sex with him. Once the two had consensual sex, the young woman got into an argument after her boyfriend asked her to have sex again.

After the woman’s complaint was proved to be false, the police arrested her and later released her on bail. The incident took place in Punakha, Bhutan. A 36-year-old woman has been arrested for making false allegations of rape. The woman, who was staying with her husband in Luensa, was on her way to a house in the village when her husband called her boyfriend.
The woman complained that her husband’s brother-in-law had abducted her and raped her by stripping her naked friends. They were then subjected to a medical examination. The medical report said that no injuries were found on her body. Subsequent interrogation revealed that the complaint was false.
