It’s the big party in the capital. A few days ago everyone was wondering why the Wizards had traded Rui Hachimura for three Boursins and even everyone wanted to tar the front office of the franchise? Today the Sorcerers remain on six straight wins and are clearly playing for the title. Be careful though, because part of this introduction is false.
As the pope of breaking news said so well on Twitter last night, the Wizards have therefore… boarf, we are not going to rewrite it, read this instead:
This is especially the FIRST victory for Washington in San Antonio since…
… wow…
… since 1999.
It’s been over 20 years since the Wizards beat the Spurs at home.

Statistics a little funny, while the following is a little less so for the competition in the East, because yes: the Wizards are in great shape, as incongruous as this sentence may seem:
Do you know which team has the longest winning streak in the East?
Les Washington Wizards.
6 wins de suite.

Six wins in a row is good, six wins in a row including five away is even very good. Knicks, Magic, Mavericks, Rockets, Pelicans and Spurs on the grill, six out of six and so here are the Wizards returned to an almost balanced balance sheet (24-26), well stationed now in the play-in places, that is to say …in the place where we expected them. When the magic trio (yes we dare) made up of Bradley Beal, Kyle Kuzma and Kristaps Porzingis is present, it’s a completely different team that you have to watch, and when, like yesterday, the mischievous Deni Advija (compared to the film Denis la Malice) comes off the bench to plant 25… well, it gets complicated in front, especially when the opponent doesn’t really have the crazy desire to win.
All that to say what? That if the Wizards will probably not be NBA champions this year, little bookmaker training you have seen, let’s say that the Eastern Conference may have just found one more bad team to play. And if you’re a Washington resident under the age of 24, hallelujah your team has finally won in San Antonio!
