Orange is announcing to its Famille by Canal subscribers the withdrawal of the Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Boing, Toonami and Warner TV channels from 8 January.
The final decision is expected to fall like a chopper no later than January 8, 2023, by which time the channels “Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Boing, Toonami, TCM Cinema, Warner TV and CNN will be discontinued” let it be known Canal+ at the beginning of the month, and this lack of agreement found with the Turner group. In the same message, the Vivendi subsidiary paradoxically specified that “discussions with this partner are nevertheless continuing, hoping to find a favorable outcome.” Nothing seems definitive.
Failing to know if this is a pressure shot or not in the context of the negotiations, Orange is taking the lead by informing for its part currently its subscribers to the Family by Canal package that 5 of these 7 channels will no longer be available in their offer from the date provided by Canal+. “You will continue to enjoy the other channels in your package, at the unchanged rate of €5 including tax/month. If you wish, you can cancel at any time from your customer area”also indicates the incumbent operator, which suggests a withdrawal.
The stopping of the chains #Turner chez @canalplus seems to be confirmed. #Orange warns its customers of the disappearance of the Cartoon Network, Warner TV, Boomerang, Boing and Toonami channels from the ‘Family by CANAL’ offer on the same date.

This would be a significant loss for Canal+ offers, in particular the exclusive Warner TV channel aimed at series fans and which broadcasts many premium content from the Turner group. Its withdrawal will also be the main impact for Freebox subscribers (in particular with TV by Canal) since all the 4 other channels are already included in Free’s TV offer.
