Unsurprisingly, last week’s biggest launch is paying off. For his last season in the skin of Geralt de Riv, Henry Cavill takes “The Witcher” to the top of the viewings.

Could we doubt the performance of The Witcher for its return with a season 3 which is also the last of Henry Cavill? The British actor is back on Netflix for his swansong as Geralt de Riv, before the role of The Witcher is given to Liam Hemsworth. The Witcher’s third season has been split into two parts, with the first arriving on Netflix on Thursday, June 29, and the second due out later this month.

And even without a full season, that didn’t stop The Witcher from rising to the top of Netflix’s famous top 10 in the series category. Lauren Schmidt Hissrich’s series thus takes first place among English-language series with 15.2 million views in just four days. The week studied runs from June 26 to July 2.

Fans also rewatched the first season with 2.2 million views this week. Black Mirror, which was top last week, has slipped to second place with 5.4 million views, documentary series Catching Killers season 3 follows in third place with 4.1 million views and Glamorous is in fourth place. place with 3.5 million views. These are of course the international figures.

Other films on the list include Our Planet season 2 – which did not make the French top – and My First Times. Another documentary series American Gladiators: When TV was doing its circus – also unnoticed with us – debuted in eighth place with 2.8 million viewers.

In this update to Netflix’s top 10 most-watched TV series list, The Witcher unsurprisingly spearheads the platform, which isn’t surprising given the show’s popularity since its launch. Fans were obviously eager for the next chapter in Geralt’s story, and they flocked to Netflix to check out the new episodes. See you on July 27 for the second burst of episodes.
