‘The Witcher 3’ next-generation version, CDPR trust restoration?

CD Projekt Red (CDPR) is imminent to reveal details of the next-generation version of ‘The Witcher 3′ scheduled to be released in December. While special streaming to introduce key information of the version is announced, attention is paid to whether CDPR will be able to recover all of the users’ trust that it lost in the early days of the release of its previous work, ‘Cyberpunk 2077’, with this news.

CDPR’s ‘The Witcher 3’ next-generation special streaming will be conducted through the Twitch CDPR official channel from 2:00 am on the 24th in Korea. Although detailed programs and airing times of the live broadcast have not been disclosed, it is likely to introduce new content besides gameplay and upgrades within major platforms such as PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Previously, CDPR announced Geralt’s new armor and content inspired by the Netflix drama ‘The Witcher’ series as additional content for the next-generation version.

In addition, the point of observation in the streaming of the next-generation version of ‘The Witcher 3’ is expected to be the perfection of the game play. Previously, CDPR was heavily criticized for its completeness to the extent that normal play within a specific platform was impossible when ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ was released in 2020. Currently, ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ has gone through numerous improvements and patches and has emerged as a representative hit of CDPR, but some critical eyes toward the developer remain.
The next-generation version of ‘The Witcher 3’ was first revealed in September 2020, before the release of ‘Cyberpunk 2077′. As this version has also suffered from several delays in its release date, it is expected that users’ attention will also be drawn to the level of perfection after their release.

Meanwhile, the next-generation version of ‘The Witcher 3’ will be officially released on December 14, and free upgrade benefits will be provided to existing PS4, Xbox One, and PC version purchasers.
