The first prize goes to the South Korean baritone Taehan Kim : during his performances, we noticed his acting, his neat pronunciation, and relief in his interpretation. He seems quite surprised to have won the Contest:
I am speechless. I can’t explain this feeling… You know it’s the biggest competition in the world, so I can’t believe it!
The American contralto Jasmin White was also a crowd favorite throughout the competition this year.
I’m a little shocked, and very excited. Now, we have concerts to give as part of the Competition, it’s going to be great!
The third prize goes to Julia MuzychenkoRussian and German, the 4th in France Floriane Haslerthe 5th in South Korea Inho Jeong and the 6th French Juliette Mey. The other 6 winners are not ranked.
In the jury, there was the singer Patricia Petibón : “There were big surprises, it’s true… this first prize for Taehan Kim… this baritone really moved us, we can say it, it was a pretty magical moment!“
This singing session was rich in personalitieswith 12 very different profiles in the final.
