Four municipalities have given the green light to the wind farm in the Vaudois Jura. An agreement from the Canton and a referendum are still awaited.
Stage victory for the Grandsonnaz wind farm in the Vaudois Jura. The four municipalities concerned by the project – Bullet, Mauborget, Fiez and Fontaines-sur-Grandson – have now all validated the Allocation plan equivalent to a building permit (PAPc), communicate the Geneva Industrial Services (GIS). Their subsidiary Ennova is responsible for developing this set of fifteen wind turbines, which will produce 90 GWh per year and will supply 24,000 households in Vaud with electricity.
However, the project still has to pass other stages: the Canton of Vaud still has to validate the PAPc and a popular referendum is still planned in the municipality of Bullet. According to “Geneva Grandstand», the vote should take place next year.
