Regarding the controversy surrounding President Yoon Seok-yeol’s abusive language during his visit to the United States and the subsequent explanation of the presidential office, Yoo Seung-min said, “There is nothing worse than a lie.”

On the 25th, former lawmaker Yoo said on his Facebook page, “I heard that the president’s office confirmed this to President Yoon, so all the people had to wonder if my ears were wrong while playing the video repeatedly.”

Former Rep. Yoo said, “The president knows what he is saying.” He emphasized, “If you lose trust, nothing will work. Honesty is the best.”

Earlier, on the 21st (local time), following leaving the meeting room following the ‘Global Fund Financial Commitment Meeting’ hosted by US President Joe Biden in New York on the 21st (local time), President Yoon told Foreign Minister Park Jin and others, “If these XXs do not approve in the National Assembly, Biden will What should I do because I’m embarrassed?” The scene was exposed and caused a lot of controversy. In response, Kim Eun-hye, head of public relations, said she was saying ‘if it blows’, not ‘Biden’, and she explained that the remarks were not related to the US side.

Rep. Yoo pointed out that the problem of the KORUS currency swap was not properly dealt with in relation to the ‘king dollar’ issue.

Former Rep. Yoo said, “I mightn’t even say anything regarding the Korea-US currency swap, and now the Deputy Prime Minister for the economy is saying, ‘The Korea-US currency swap is premature.’

On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance Choo Kyung-ho appeared on KBS1TV’s ‘Sunday Diagnosis Live’ and explained, “The US is in a position to look at the situation as our situation is healthy and the need for currency swaps or other liquidity supply devices.”
