Born in Germany in 1960 and starting life in Switzerland, Corine met Lectinga Lepamorijo, a Samburu tribal warrior, on a Kenyan trip with her boyfriend Marco. After returning to Switzerland following a vacation, Corinne fell in love with the tribal man she was attracted to in Kenya and wanted to make him her life partner. It is out of that desire that Koreen leaves her lover, sacrifices everything she has and goes to Kenya to marry this Masai tribe.
After settling in Kenya, Korine became a mother of one child and learned to live as a Maasai woman by doing odd jobs. But their married life was not very happy. Having experienced problems and many difficulties, Corinne left her husband and went back to Switzerland with her daughter. After that she wrote a book regarding her experiences and the book titled Die weisse Massai became an unprecedented success.
