WASHINGTON: The White House said Tuesday that “there are still tools on the table” if the administration needs to deal with rising oil prices that could threaten the economic recovery.
“We continue to work with producer and consumer countries and these steps have had real impacts on prices, and ultimately the tools are still on the table for us to deal with prices,” said Emily Horne, a spokeswoman for the administration’s National Security Council.
“We will continue to monitor prices in light of global economic growth and engage our OPEC+ partners as appropriate.”
