In the midst of war with Ukraine, Vladimir Putin’s state of health remains a mystery. The White House denied, Thursday, June 2, the information of the American weekly Newsweek (in English) who claims that the Russian president is suffering from cancer “at an advanced stage”.

The newspaper refers to a classified US intelligence report, a report that does not exist, according to the National Security Council, an agency of the US presidency. Citing three American intelligence sources, the weekly assures that the Russian president was hospitalized in April for this disease. The magazine also quotes the last public appearances of the leader of the Kremlin, the absence of contact with his interlocutors and the long tables to separate the guests.

“Reports that such an intelligence assessment exists and that the President has been briefed on it are not true”reacted the National Security Council.
