Dubai: The sale of tickets for the Asia Cup cricket tournament, which will begin on the 27th of this month in the UAE, has started today. The online ticket sales website crashed as fans rushed to buy tickets for the India-Pakistan glamor match on 28th in the tournament which starts on 27th. Platinumlist.net, a website that provides tickets online, has gone on strike in protest of fans.

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) had stated the other day that ticket sales will start on the 15th. Following this, at exactly 12 o’clock on the night of the 15th, nearly seven lakh people came to the site for tickets. A queue system was also introduced on the website to reduce congestion. Even those who waited in the online queue for six to 40 minutes following the site crashed did not get their tickets.

Where to get tickets?

Get tickets through the website platinumlist.net. There will be ticket counters at the Dubai International Stadium, where the matches will take place, but it is indicated that only the tickets remaining in the online sale will be available through the counters.
