Crazy weather until the end of July. According to Colonel Giuliacci’s forecast, the weather will go through four successive phases that will alternate the African anticyclone with cold Atlantic winds.
“A tit for tat between the African anticyclone and the fresher Atlantic winds – said Giuliacci – Between the July 18th and 20th the African heat wave reaches its peak. The maximum values will be between 35 and 40 degrees in the center-south and between 30 and 35 degrees in northern Italy. This heat wave will make the elderly suffer especially, who are more sensitive to the heat. But this heat wave is nothing exceptional. A second phase between the July 21st and 25thwhen cooler Atlantic winds will arrive. There will be a drop in temperatures between 5 and 8 degrees across Italy. Moderate heat will only persist in the south with highs that will not exceed 35 degrees. In this phase there will also be thunderstorms in the north and in the Adriatic regions. Then a third phase between July 26th and 27th with a further drop in temperatures due to the persistence of cooler Atlantic winds. Finally between the July 28th and 30th there will be a fleeting return of the African anticyclone but perhaps only for three days.
