The weather tomorrow will be cloudy and foggy at the heights, with a drop in temperature and heavy rain

The Department of Estimates at the Meteorological Department in Lebanon expected that the weather tomorrow would be cloudy in general, with heavy fog on the heights, an additional and tangible decrease in temperatures, and rain that is sometimes heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms that lead to the formation of torrential rains on the roads. We also warn of hail, as it intensifies. Wind speeds, starting in the followingnoon, reaching 70 km/h, and snow falling at an altitude of 1,400 meters and above, especially in the north of the country.

– The general situation: Lebanon and the eastern basin of the Mediterranean are affected by an air depression centered over Turkey, which is gradually approaching and is accompanied by cold air masses, heavy rain, snow, active winds, and thunderstorms, and reaches its peak on Monday followingnoon, as the snowfall level decreases to the level of 1500 meters and continues until morning. Tuesday as it gradually settles down.

The average temperature for December in Beirut ranges from 13° to 21° Celsius.

– The expected weather in Lebanon: Today: Partly cloudy to cloudy, with a decrease in temperatures, which become below their seasonal rates, and sometimes dense fog on the heights, with poor visibility at times. Snow falls at an altitude of 1,700 meters and above, and the level of precipitation decreases during the night, touching 1,600 meters, especially in the north of the country, warning of “torrential rains and hailstones falling during the night.”

Monday: Mostly cloudy and thick fog on the highlands, with an additional and tangible drop in temperatures and heavy rain at times and accompanied by thunderstorms that lead to the formation of torrential rains on the roads. An hour and snow falls at an altitude of 1400 meters and above, especially in the north of the country. The intensity of rain and snow decreases starting in the evening and gradually recedes during the night.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy with fog on the heights and temperatures remaining relatively low. Occasional sporadic rain falls during the morning in the interior areas, gradually turning during the day into a few clouds. We warn once morest the formation of snow on mountain roads that exceed 1,600 meters during the night on mountain and internal roads.

Wednesday: Partly cloudy with a rise in temperatures and local fog at the heights. We warn of snow formation on mountain roads during the morning period, starting from an altitude of 1,500 meters.

Expected temperatures: on the coast from 13 to 17 degrees, above the mountains from 6 to 12 degrees, indoors from 5 to 13 degrees.

Surface winds: active southwesterly, with a speed between 20 and 50 km/h.

– Sweeping: Medium on the coast, worsens at times on heights due to fog.

– Relative humidity on the coast: between 70 and 90%.

– Sea condition: waves to medium to rough. Water surface temperature: 21°C.
