The weather pattern is changing once more and following the sunshine of the last 48 hours, there is a deterioration with rain, showers and a drop in temperature.
According to the forecast of the meteorologist Tasos Arniakou, from tomorrow a barometric low from Libya is expected to affect our country, causing rains and storms that will be strong.
The winds will reach 7-8 Beaufort, while the mercury will begin to drop as on Thursday and especially on Friday it will not exceed 25 degrees.
The weather is expected to gradually improve from Saturday and especially on Sunday, when the phenomena are expected to subside and the temperature will rise.

The forecast for Wednesday 08-05-2024
Sporadic storms from midday mainly in the mountains of the west and north of the country. Sparse clouds in places denser initially in the northern Ionian and Epirus and gradually in the rest of the regions. Local rains will occur from midday mainly in the mountains of the western, central and northern regions and in the evening in Crete. Sporadic storms will occur from the middle, mainly in the mountains of the west and north of the country.
Winds will be variable 3 to 4 Beaufort and from noon southeast to south local 5 Beaufort. The temperature will reach 25 to 28 and locally in the eastern continents 29 degrees Celsius.
MACEDONIA, THRACE
Weather: Sparse clouds, which will thicken in places from noon. Local rains and sporadic storms will occur in the midday and followingnoon hours, mainly in the mountains. In the evening the phenomena will weaken and be limited to western Macedonia.
Winds: Variable 2 to 4 and from the evening in the east northeast 3 to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 11 to 28 degrees Celsius. In western Macedonia it will be 2 to 3 degrees lower.
IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIROS, WEST STEREA, WEST PELOPONNISOS
Weather: Thin clouds, denser in the north and quickly in the rest of the regions. Local rains and sporadic storms will occur from midday mainly in the highlands of Epirus and western Sterea and temporarily in the evening also in the northern Ionian.
Winds: Variable 3 to 4 Beaufort and from the evening southeast with the same intensity.
Temperature: From 13 to 26 degrees Celsius. In the interior of Epirus 3 to 4 degrees lower.
EASTERN STEREA, EVIA, EASTERN PELOPONNISOS
Weather: Sparse clouds, which will thicken in places from midday and there may be isolated rain in the mountains.
Winds: Southeast 3 to 4 and from noon locally 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 13 to 28 and locally up to 29 degrees Celsius.
CYCLADES, CRETE
Weather: Sparse clouds, which will thicken in places from midday and from the evening in Crete there will be local rains and possibly isolated storms.
Winds: From west directions 3 to 4, which from noon will turn to southeast up to 5 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 14 to 26 degrees Celsius.
EAST AEGEAN ISLANDS – DODECANISE
Weather: Generally clear with sparse clouds from noon, which will thicken in places from the evening in the south.
Winds: Variable 3 to 4 Beaufort and from the evening southeast with the same intensity.
Temperature: From 14 to 26 degrees Celsius.
THESSALY
Weather: Sparse clouds, which will thicken in places from midday and mainly in the mountains in the midday and followingnoon hours there will be local rain and possibly isolated storms.
Winds: Variable 3 to 4 and from noon to the east from easterly directions with the same intensity.
Temperature: From 13 to 27 and locally up to 28 degrees Celsius.
ATTICA
Weather: Sparse clouds, which will thicken from the evening.
Winds: Southeast 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 15 to 26 degrees Celsius.
THESSALONIKI
Weather: Sparse clouds which will thicken in places from midday. Local rains and isolated storms will occur in the surrounding mountains in the midday and followingnoon hours.
Winds: Fluctuating and in the followingnoon and followingnoon south southeast 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 13 to 25 degrees Celsius.
The forecast for Thursday 09-05-2024
Intermittently increased clouds, with local rains in the west and south and gradually in the rest of the country. Isolated storms will occur from the early morning hours in Crete and possibly the Cyclades, from midday hours in the eastern and northern continental areas, while in the evening the phenomena will be limited to Thessaly, eastern Sterea, Evia, Macedonia, Thrace, Crete and the northern Aegean. In the evening the phenomena will intensify in places in Crete and at night in the Cyclades.
The winds will blow from east directions 3 to 5 and to the south 6 local 7 Beaufort. In the followingnoon in the west there will be northerlies of 4 to 5 Beaufort.
The temperature will drop mainly in the west, central and north and will reach 22 to 24 degrees, while in Crete 24 to 26 degrees Celsius.
The forecast for Friday 10-05-2024
In the west a few clouds temporarily increased, with local rain and isolated thunderstorms in the continental areas in the midday and followingnoon hours. In the rest of the country, clouds with local rains and sporadic storms mainly in the south. In the evening the phenomena will weaken.
Winds will blow to the southeast from south directions 5 to 7 and gradually northwest to 6 Beaufort. In the rest of the areas, winds will blow from north directions 4 to 6, in the Aegean 6 to 7 and locally in the northern Aegean up to 8 Beaufort.
The temperature will drop in the south and slightly rise in the west.
The forecast for Saturday 11-05-2024
Temporarily increased cloudiness with local rains mainly in the Ionian and continental areas except Thrace. Isolated storms will occur mainly in the western continental areas during the midday and evening hours.
Winds will blow in the west from southerly directions 3 to 4 and in the Ionian locally 5 Beaufort, in the east from northern directions 3 to 5 and in the Aegean 6 and locally 7 Beaufort.
The temperature will drop slightly in the west.
The forecast for Sunday 12-05-2024
A few clouds temporarily increased inland in the midday and followingnoon hours with local showers and possible isolated thunderstorms in the mountains.
The winds in the west will be variable 3 to 4 Beaufort and in the east they will blow from north directions 4 to 5 and in the Aegean up to 6 Beaufort.
The temperature will rise slightly.
