The Meteorological Authority announced details of the weather conditions during the period from Friday, February 10 to Sunday, February 12, 2023.
Cold weather prevails in the early morning, moderately hot during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt and northern Upper Egypt, cold in the northern coasts, warm in southern Sinai and southern Upper Egypt, cold at night in the north of the country, even Greater Cairo is very cold in the south of the country.
Frost forms on crops in central Sinai, in addition to opportunities for snow to form on the top of Mount Moses and St. Catherine.
Friday, February 10th
In the morning: on some roads leading to and from Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, canal cities, central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt.
Light rain, with an incidence rate of (approximately 40%), may be moderate in areas of the northern coasts and northern Lower Egypt, at intermittent intervals.
Wind activity: over areas of South Sinai at intermittent intervals.
Saturday, February 11th
Medium rains with an incidence rate of (approximately 50%): on areas of the northern coasts and north of Lower Egypt, at intermittent intervals.
Wind activity: over areas of South Sinai at intermittent intervals
Sunday, February 12th
Light to medium rains with an incidence rate of (approximately 40%): on areas of the northern coasts and north of Lower Egypt, at intermittent intervals.
Wind activity: over the regions of South Sinai and North Upper Egypt, at intermittent intervals.
The Authority appealed to the need to take all necessary preparations and measures to limit the effects of expected weather phenomena. The Meteorological Authority wishes safety for all.
