Drought has lowered the water level of the Danube. The wreckage of dozens of warships has been exposed near Prakhovo in eastern Serbia. The ships were confirmed to belong to Nazi Germany’s Black Sea Fleet, and many still had tons of ammunition and explosives left on them.

In early August, when the water level of the Po River in Italy dropped, fishermen found a bomb on the exposed riverbed nearby. According to reports, the bomb weighed more than 450 kilograms and was left over from World War II. The bomb was then taken to a safe area by Italian military personnel and detonated.
