The war in Ukraine has already left more than 2 million refugees

It’s another week of war between Ukraine and Russia. Another week of exodus. The train stations are overwhelmed and, in just over ten days, more than one one and a half million Ukrainians they fled the country.

This is the fastest growing refugee crisis since World War II.according to a report by UNHCR, the United Nations agency responsible for protecting the displaced.

From February 24, when the invasion began, the data was counted at the borders. Poland is the country that received the most refugees so far, followed by Slovakia, Moldova and Romania. Some even fled to Russia.

Most of the refugees are women and children as men of fighting agefrom 18 to 60 years old, they cannot leave the country. These same men have been trained since 2014, with the reinstatement of compulsory military service.

Meanwhile, in the UN they believe that Displacements will increase in the coming days due to the escalation of the conflict.
