The shocking images of attacks perpetrated by Harold S. had circulated on social networks. The man committed three violent robberies on elderly people in the lobby of their building in Brussels. The aggressor had the same modus operandi: he was waiting for an elderly person to pass, to give him a violent blow and snatch his bag. One of the victims was hit in the head, another was thrown to the ground, a third was kicked to the ground.
The wanted person was arrested on Wednesday morning by the Brussels-West police zone. Harold S. would be well known to the courts, he has been convicted several times by the Belgian courts in recent years. The man had just been granted parole in April 2022, while his sentences took him until 2029.
Harold S. will appear before the investigating judge, who will decide whether or not he will be placed in detention.
