A sulphurous candidate in The Voice. This Saturday, March 26, 2022, Stephen di Tordo appeared for a blind audition in front of the show’s coaches. Provocative, he went so far as to throw his microphone on the ground and dare to make the most scathing jokes… A show that did not please internet users at all… and which did not convince Vianney.
Last evening of blind auditions in The Voice this Saturday March 26, 2022. Although their teams were already almost formed, the coaches of the season were determined not to miss out on additional talent. From the first candidate, Amel Bent broke the rules of the show by falling in love with David, a singer working in private events. While many praised his great voice on twitter, some felt that the candidate lacked a bit of modesty: following his performance, the coaches exchanged a little with him as usual. And David took matters into his own hands. Not wishing to give his exact age: “I am thirty years old and a little bit”, the singer certainly wishing to show the full extent of his talent did not hesitate to sing Caruso without being asked.
But it is not the one whose ego has most shocked internet users. After Velours, a 21-year-old Parisian who managed to captivate Marc Lavoine and Florent Pagny with her cover of You will forget me by Larusso in piano-voice, a certain Stephen di Tordo appeared on the stage. Singer, comedian and fan of pétanque, the thirties took over Ccome as you are by Kurt Cobain, hoarse voice and rock star attitude in support. Giving everything on stage, the candidate went so far as to throw away his microphone at the end of his performance, a gesture which obviously did not please Amel Bent, nor the viewers. For many, Stephen di Tordo had crossed the line of disrespect. And it was not his daring outings during the debrief with the coaches that settled his case.
With his own humor, the candidate first shouted a “hello Baltard”, referring to the program La Nouvelle Star, which was at the time of its broadcast shot at the Pavillon Baltard. Presenting himself as “a child of the nineties” when the coaches asked him his age, he then recounted having studied in the medical field for an astonishing reason: “There were all the problems of breast prostheses, breasts that burst , so I said to myself there is a business”. Being no longer a provocation, he then said: “I choose Louis Bertignac”, a former member of the jury, at the time of his choice. It is finally Marc Lavoine who will have the honor, or not, to count this sulphurous character in his team. His comrade Vianney, he obviously had no regrets not having turned around. “I can’t believe his character,” he even confessed when Stephen di Tordo returned backstage. The twittos are in complete agreement with him… For them, despite his undeniable talent, the candidate does too much.
