Saturday March 4, 2023, he realizes his dream of participating in the show “The Voice”.
Barely had he started to sing, just 33 seconds, coach Zazie pressed the red buzzer, turned his chair, followed in stride by Amel Bent, Vianney, and the duo Bigflo and Oli. Micha won over the jury made up of four coaches by performing “Stand Up” by British songwriter Cynthia Erivo, which evokes slavery and was popularized by the film “Harriet”.
The young Guyanese singer crosses the cast of this show in front of a standing audience to salute his performance. “You are amazing”launches Amel Bent, who admits “shattered by this great moment”.
In an interview with our colleagues from Tele-LeisureMicah Gravenberch, the new member of Amel Bent’s team, returned to the conditions of his participation in this show from Guyana to Paris.
When I say it hasn’t been easy to get this far, it’s just that, financially it’s not incredible. For the blind auditions, we had to manage the plane tickets, and it was a bit complicated. I had opened a kitty to raise some money. I made a kitty, but I didn’t share it too much either because I wanted some privacy. I shared it with people quite close.
